What does "Cannot initialize application Unable to open file" mean?
This is the error message I'm getting when I try to open my Ulead VS 8.
It also shows the following: [25000:2:1] and [15034:1:8]
What do these numbers mean?
Thanks to any one that can help me.

Does this error appear when you are trying to open the program normally i.e. by clicking on its icon? Or when you are clicking on a .vsp project file to get that action to open the program?
Is it consistent i.e. does it always happen? Or does the program open when you have used the tried and true option of "when in doubt, reboot"?

Ken,Thanks for your reply.
I have been using VS8 for years without any problem until a few weeks ago.
I had to do a systems restore a couple of times due to a different problem but my problem persisted.
So I uninstalled VS8 and reinstalled. That's when I started to get the "cannot initialize" error. I get this error message when I double click on the VS8 icon on my desk top.
Yes it's consistent even after I reboot.
My operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Home edition version 2002 service pack 2
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeFORCE FX5200
Sound card: SB Live! Audio [C800]
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R)4 CPU 3.00 GHz
300 GHz,512MB of RAM
