ulead libraries...failed to load

Post by Ilene »

I have seen that error - I usually reboot and all works fine.

I have a different library question. I want to migrate my libraries over to 11+ from 9 ( iwas never able to get 10+) to successfullly work....if anyone remembers I had audio ripping problems and conflicts with quick time. I basically kept using VS9, and worked with 10+ on another computer only when I needed to use the multiple overlay track feature. Anyway - 11+ loaded successfully and all seems to be working well....

what is the best way to load libraries from prior versions. I have a lot of video files that I would like to use...most have been edited, but not saved as trimmed video.

Also - I have a lot of libraries in 9 that I'd like to keep there, but don't need them all in 11+....if I copy the dat files over to 11+ and delete the libraries that I don't need there, I assume they will still be available to me in 9 should I need them?

Lastly - I learned something interesting today. I deleted many libraries from 9 just to clean things up. However when I went to reopen a project, whose library had been deleted, but the files were still in the same location on the computer....the project files loaded fine....no re-linking issues. I have been keeping libraries active for a long time and now I realize it wasn't necessary....

is there a thread somewhere about library maintenance. My VS9 got really unruly! Any advice would be appreciated....i like to know I can recreate older projects when I want to go back and look how I did something. If not, we should have some sort of thread on this.

thanks.

Just a word of advice. Please don't hijack threads. Your subject had nothing to do with the original poster's. It would have been better to create a new thread. :)

With that being said, this thread may help you.

Post(s) were split into new thread.

As B.L. stated, please don't hi-jack threads. If you have a problem, please initiate a thread. It will be easier for others to find.

Thanks
