Perhaps Ulead should be pleased that their forum is making such a good connection with its customers and prospective customers. Perhaps they should be pleased to gain some insight into what these customers and prospective customers expect from their products.

On this thread alone you have two customers (CBC and myself) interested in a particular template style (one that highlights and selects text directly instead of highlighting/selecting a button that is associated with this text). Perhaps Ulead should consider including this style (in some fashion) in future patches or upgrades to MF6 (to better compete with DVD Architect and other packages).

The download contains only a single .ufo file. There is no .ini file. Is that correct? (The files in the HD template folder seem to be in threes, a .ufo file, a _BD.ini file and a _MS.ini file.)

The previous download contained two files, a .ufo file and a .ini file, matching the structure of the folder into which it went.

The ini files are used to associate a certain sound file with the video and also to create the special effects such as text/buttons etc sliding in from various directions. These ini files can be named anything but were kept with names mirroring those of the template for ease of reference. The ini files are set in the DVD menu plug-in.

The HD menu that i altered still uses the original ini files and so will work as expected.

Regarding your next post I did send an email to one of the MovieFactory Managers suggested the on/off function be enhanced in future versions to provide the functionality mentioned. I have received a reply:
Hi Jones,

Thanks for you point out this.

I think we made a mistake to name ¡§Show Highlight Image¡¨, it should be ¡§display highlight object for adjusting¡¨.

However, if user hided the highlight images of Menu and also on the completed DVD, how do they choose the title\chapter video from menu?

Best regards,

OK, Steve, many thanks. Will give it a go this morning.

Thanks also for sending a note on to Even. I believe your response to his question should be - 'by highlighting and selecting the text identifying the title/chapter.'

Right -- the text should highlight when selected.... and... you should be able to turn off all the other buttons. Would be great if there was another checkbox for 'no buttons'. It's pretty simple -- default to the first item, and highlight the selected item's text.
