Out of memory windows vista photoimpact 12

I get out of memory on windows vista when trying to add some effects on this great software. Please advice to sort this out.

There is a section in preference about memory and i have not touched it.

I have just installed the software as it arrived yesterday. And i have installed the latest Vista patch.

How much memory and what type of processor etc does your pc have. The least amount of memory for vista I've been told is 2 gigs and anything above and over 3 gigs of memory vista wont use or recognize.

scooby, looks like you have enough physical memory (RAM).

But does your PC have enough virtual memory?

If PhotoImpact was installed using another windows account, then the virtual memory will be set under that particular user account, which would then be un-accessible for other users. That would cause an error if a different user runs PhotoImpact and edits a large image project.

If you have another local hard drive with more free space, you can also set the virtual memory to use that location instead.

To do that. Go to your desktop > right-click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Settings > Advance tab > theh at the virtual memory click change.

I suggest the following set-up:
Initial size: 1536
Max: 4026
