Pause video during playback

I¡¦ve searched the VS10 user guide and on here but can¡¦t find an answer!

I¡¦ve got a video clip of 20 seconds duration. After the first 10 seconds, I¡¦d like to pause the clip, say for another 10 seconds and then I¡¦d like the clip to resume and continue play back as normal. Thus the length will have extended from 20 seconds to 30 seconds.

Is this possible? It¡¦s for an intro clip and I¡¦d like the pause to enter a title and some narrative.

I'd make a cut at the point you want to pause, capture stills, then resume with the rest of the clip..


This is not a software problem, rather, it's a "director's" problem.. Maybe move to the "video" forum here for more responses.
