Grab .VOB files from your Sony DVD cam

Put them into the Timelime (make sure you hit 'convert them to the format which VS can work with)

Edit your video - use 'split by scene' function then insert some transition
effects and put some title on your video.

Goto Share and click 'Create Video File' --> 'save as DVD PAL'

Wait like 10...30 mins, it depends on your PC configuration and video length.

Now open your video in WMP and using your seek bar jump forward (make sure you check several points). Well, in a few seconds you will be mad:-) I'll tell you what you will see - blank screen, video with sound but no video:-)) Now go back at the beginning and you'll see that it's ok, you can see picture and sound - like it's ok with this video. Now get back at this point where you were a moment ago - again black screen and video with no sound? Right - there is some glinch at this point and you have no idea what's going on...

It feels awesome, you've just spent an hour on editing this video and at some moment you felt like 'it's peace of cake, after all you like this program and you don't experience much issues with, BUT..'

For what it's worth, I think it may be related more to the way WMP operates than to anything else. With almost any other software DVD player (I use mainly PowerDVD or Nero ShowTime), you can open a video and click somewhere along the player's timeline and the video (and audio) will start at that selected point. However, in both WMP 10 and now 11, I find that if I try that, I too get a black screen. And that is regardless of what the video is or where it came from. Rarely does it come from VS.

The only way I could get to another point in WMP and see both video and hear sound is to start the video playing in WMP and physically drag the WMP jog bar to the point I wanted.
