No disk writer device found!

I have a DVD RW facility.
When I open My Computer it shows the drive as a CD Drive.

I have checked and double checked everything Device Manager says it is a DVD RW drive but Studio 11 Plus does not recognise it.

I have Roxio on another drive, yet to delete.

Is there a known conflict what can I do to record my DVD.

It seems to weork and then it does not. I have had it checked by an engineer, he says it is OK.

I am sorry to be vague but the problem seems random except that Studio is a prblem all the time.
