Cannot burn from Video Camera

I am having problems burning a home movie from my camera directly to a DVD. I have also tried to capture it to disk. Everytime it starts it captures about 3-4 minutes then the screen freezes up and video on the camera keeps playing but it quits capturing on my computer or DVD whichever I try.

I am running Windows XP Professional SP2, DVD Movie Factory 4, Sony DVD Burner. I am connected via Firewire.

These are difficult problems to solve. Have you cleared the memory? No anti-vrius software running? No cennction with the Internet?

Capturing running on a different hard-drive than C:? Disabled DMA? Defrag the disk etc. etc.?

I own 2 pc's. On one of them I'm experiencing a similar problem. While the specs are more than sufficient. On the other pc (with less power) I can capture without problems. Never could solve it.

Perhaps you can try another capture program?
