I've been using VS9 SE that came with my ADS video capture box for a little over a month now. Just today I tried to use multi-trim on my videos and it crashes EVERYTIME with EVERY file that I try. VS9 SE gives an "unexpected error" box and closes. I've never had a problem until today. Someone please help me!
Edit: Using Windows XP not Vista. Never had a problem with multi-trim until today.
VS9 SE Multi-Trim crashes everytime!

Does that thing generate MPEG files? Some of use have had problems when editing some MPEGs.ADS video capture box...
There may be some slight corruption in your MPEG file. A "bad" file will often play OK, but cause trouble when you try to edit it, convert it, or make a DVD from it. Sometimes, an edited MPEG file will cause more trouble than the same unedited file.
You might try re-capturing (if possible) and make sure no other programs are running during capture, etc. That may not help... a slow or interrupted computer is one just possible cause... I don't know what the other causes are...
The more-compressed file formats are more prone these problems. AVI/DV (13 GB per hour) almost never causes trouble. MPEG-2 sometimes causes trouble. People who work with MPEG-4, DivX, Xvid, etc., seem to have lots of trouble.
Both VideoReDo and Womble have repair tools that can fix some MPEG problems. Both offer free trials.
Personally, I bought the Womble editor and I use that for editing MPEGs. No more crashing.... no more "lip-sync" problems... no other "weird" problems. (Womble is a special-purpose MPEG editing program. I still use Ulead for other things, including making DVDs, etc.)
