Can't add chapters when creating disc

The Jog Wheel is greyed out in the creation of a disc. I found a simular issue, but is not relavant. This product has never been installed before so a 'manual uninstall' should not be nesisary, but did it anyway. dirctX is 9c, system has latest Windows patches (XP Pro). This windows XP Pro installation is only 1 month old.

I had the same issue. I installed DirectX 9.0c and I still had the issue. I then used the DirectX redistributable from Feb 2007 and it solved my problem. I also had a very recent XP installation.

Try to install the very latest DirectX from Microsoft and it should solve your problem.

The latest patch to DirectX 9.0c is the runtime update of June 2007.

Could you also please clarify whether you can create chapters based on a regular time interval, or not at all.

Windows update did not find any DirectX to update. I did however locate the webinstall and installed(or reinstalled). As I mentioned, this installation is less then a month old. I am now able to add chapters. BUT, they do not show up in the menu. The only way to get them in menu is ti right click the only button where I found a menu item to enter chapter or something like that. If this is the proper method, it is not logical. A context sensitive menu to add a button does NOT belong under a BUTTON itself, it belongs under the Menu screen!!! Beside, there should be an aditional option to do such a thing to the left where the other options are.

In any case, the Preview does NOT show the added buttons. How do I get the Preview to show the added chapyter buttons?!!!
