Can you give us details of the exact steps you took to try to import the DVD?

If the DVD is a commercial movie and still has copyright protection (Macrovision etc) codes on it, you will not be able to import it into Video Studio in any case.

If this is a commercial film or movie on your DVD?

Remember, commercial DVDs/films are technically very different -- different frame rates and different types of discs, etc. -- from home-made consumer DVD-videos.

The Corel VideoStudio software is designed to import typical consumer DVD-videos.

If you have a non commercial DVD - perhaps one you made yourself and wish to import it back into VideoStudio - the procedure is here:

Thanks for trying to help. Yes, I tried to import a commercial DVD into VideoStudio. It worked before, I used ********** version 3.5.4.0 to decrypt it and never had any problems (I'm not trying something illegal here - I just want to copy a few scenes of my favourite actor on a special DVD). If it is a copy protection problem, why can I watch the uploaded DVD on my computer with Real Media Player?

Edited by Admin. Name of program used to defeat copy protection removed.

There is a world of difference between being able to WATCH a DVD and being able to COPY a DVD. This forum cannot assist members who wish to disregard the rules of copyright. COPY protection systems are there for a reason not as a challenge.
