? Fade-in & Fade-out buttons ?

Post by dog »

How do the Fade-in & Fade-out buttons (under Edit - Video) operate?

When I click them they appear to become "active" but nothing seems to happen.

Thanks in advance!

ps: is there a way to make titles fade in/out?

pps: sorry about the size of the avatar; I don't know how to make it smaller.

The Fade In/Out buttons that you refer to are for the audio. To fade in a video you insert a color block (usually black) before it and put a crossfade transition between the color block and the video clip.

To customize a title click on the Animation tab, check the Apply Animation box, then choose an animation. To fade in/out you would choose the Fade animation. Click the TT next to the drop down box to customize.

Resize the picture you use as you avatar in any photo editing program. If you can't resize your avatar you should remove it. Very annoying (but cute critters).

Thank you Black Lab! Color clips and crossfade transitions did the trick.

Under the Animation tab neither the Apply Animation box nor the TT are active (even with the title selected on the Title Track), and I don't see a Fade animation choice under Title (Show Time, My Summer Vacation etc.). I have VideoStudio 9 SE DVD. Sincerely appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks also for the heads-up on the avatar -- I've deleted it until I get it reduced.

Click on the title in the Preview Window. Now the items in the Attribute tab should be active.

Worked like a charm.

I'm grateful for your help and for this forum!

(I search Ulead VideoStudio Help before posting questions.)

Hi - sorry to pinch your posting. I've tried to do a fade-out to-black but get an error saying the video clips are too short. I'm fading out from video to a color (black). The video is 20 seconds long and the color is 20 seconds also.
I've tried extending the black but still get the same error - anyone any ideas - this is the final section of the movie after 6 months of work

Which transition are you using -- cross fade (which is what I use in this circumstance, regardless of the colour you are fading to) or fade to black?

What is its duration? Normally for a one or two second transition, there is no way that either your 20 second video clip or colour matte is too long...
