WinDvd 8 DNM jerky on Core 2 Duo

Post by mobil.mail1 »

I've built a new HTPC and everything works fine but when I activate DNM in WinDVD 8 I it is jerking every some seconds.

My machine is an Core2Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz, with Foxconn G9657MA-8EKRS2H Mainboard latest bios (realtek hd audio alc883), ATI 1650 Pro Ultimate GPU, 2GB Ram (proved, from compatibilty list of foxconn), 400 Samsung Spinpoint SATA HD.
After the first problems I did a fresh installation of Windows XP Prof Sp2. After finishing the setup I've installed the newest chipset, audio (realtek hd), network and ide drivers.
Then I've installed the newest ATI-drivers (Catalyst 7.6) and took an image.
After that I've installed the juni directx drivers, the visual c++ redistributable and after that WinDVD8 Build 6.109.

With activated DNM I have jerky, stuttering panning, not the smooth video that dnm should deliver.
It looks like the following illustration: ( "-" is smooth video, "x" is jerking)
-------------x--x----------x----x-----------x-----x-x-----x-x-------x-----x-------x-x--
So I go back to my image and installed WinDVD7 and NO PROBLEM!
DNM works fine, smooth panning no jerking!

I've installed the MS multiprocessorpatch, all MS servicepacks, I've tried all audio settings, different video cards (Nvidia 7300, ATI 1550, on board VGA), I've played arround with all settings in WinDVD, in the videodriver, I've installed powerstrip, with exactly 60, 72, 75 Hz, I let Windvd install the directX an c++ stuff, I've installd previous versions of WinDVD8, but the problem is still the same.

I wrote to intervideo support to get an activation code for the (for me) working windvd7, but they told me that they can not give me an activation code for a product I haven't payed.
But I cannot pay for windvd7 because there is only windvd8 to buy.

Please help me to find a solution!

No idea what to do?

Is there a bug in windvd8?
I've done a clean installation and windvd8 should work properly.

The only idea I have is, that there is a problem with the realtek hd audio chip.
Has anybody a working system (dnm) with this audio chipset?
