Hi Guys,
The duration of the inserted effect clip is too long. It
will be trimmed to fit.
How can I overcome this? I want my transitions to be the
length they are supposed to be. Not a short version.
Thanks in advance
Jesse
This should be easy ...

You normally only get that message if half the time selected for the transition is longer than half of one of the video clips it is placed between. That is because a transition is in effect split in two, with one half covering the last bit of one clip, and the second half covering an initial part of the next clip. So if, for instance, you have a ten second clip, followed by a three second transition, followed by a three second clip, which in turn is followed by another three second transition, then by another clip, you will get the message. This is because the effect of applying these transitions at their full length would mean that 1.5 seconds of the start of the second clip would be taken by the first transition, and 1.5 seconds of the second half would be taken by the second transitions. In other words, you would see nothing of the second video clip at all.
The solution is either to make the second clip longer or shorten the transition. VS opts for the latter if you don't change the length of the clip.
