Movie Factory 3 files not accessible?? Please Help!

Hi,

I have downloaded a trial version of Movie Factory 3 because I couldn't get Nero to work. I am trying to burn video on to DVD but when I try to 'add file' it takes ages and then comes up that the file in not accessible.
I'm using a laptop with Windows XP.
If anyone can help me I would be really grateful. As you can probably tell I'm not very good with computers so any advice, in the simpliest terms would be great!

The codec in the video file is not available in your system, you need to find it out and install the codec.
