Is menu template supplement "free extra content" p

Post by d.angelico »

1) My ePurchase of VS11+ came with just a single link to the installation executable to download, not the 2-3 links that the instructions (and this forum) described
2) I have a project I need to get done this weekend
3) I have submitted a support request (yesterday) but Corel/ULead did not get back to me within the targeted 24-hours

I am wondering if perhaps the extra content archive is posted anywhere. Will be glad to submit my purchase details but am just hoping to find a menu template with more tha 4 text/title lines in it.

Thanks
Dean

Is menu template supplement "extra content" posted

Post by d.angelico »

Dear BrianCee -
Thanks for the pointers. Yes I had found those links through searching the forum prior to my post. The problem is, with link 1, I get the following error:

Ouch! We Had a Small Hiccup.
MediaMax encountered an error.

I have created an account at mediaMax and contacted them for support.

The second link also doesn't help.

But thanks for the try. I suspect that the new VS11+ ePurchase is not quite right (they forgot to include links to the content pack) or perhaps they are planning to charge for it in the future :-(

Normally, on the "product page" there is a download link for the extra content, but, for some reason, VS 11 does not have that. It is usually on the far left of the web page.

Whom did you receive your download link from? Generally it would be Element5. You can contact them through the following link:

@MrAmigo2121,

AFAIK, Ulead has never placed links on their website for the content packs of their VS produtcts. They do however for PhotoImpact.

Ron -- it was certainly Element5 when I purchased my VS11+ soon after it was released.

However, I have just looked at the Ulead website, and once you fill your 'shopping cart' and go to the check-out, Corel now seems to have substituted its own billing system. So it seems that we are now dealing with a different animal and set-up, and thus may need to change our advice once it becomes clear exactly what is involved in the new download procedure...

As an interesting footnote, I note that they (Corel) are now offering a two year 'software download insurance' package for US$4.99 which is probably not a bad idea.

Ulead has been using Element5 until now. Element5 would send an email containing the links. With every ESD version of VS that I've purchased, there were 3 links in the email. The links were set to expire in about 2 weeks, and if you needed to re-download after that time, you would need to contact Element5.

I'll reiterate that Ulead does not provide the Content files or bonus content as a download on their website. I just looked again, and nowhere are there links to download the content files for VS. However you can download the content files for PhotoImpact. It's always been my feeling, that if they can provide the links for PI, then they should for VS.

I stand corrected, vidoman is correct. I had thought that all was available through their web site, but, apparently not.. If you did not get a link through element 5, I would call them. I have been able to talk to someone in the recent past and they were very helpfully, and, was able to resolve the problem.

There seems to have been a problem with MediaMax.
I have altered the links in all of my above posts so that the files can now be downloaded from FileWind instead.

Menus Affected were:

Thanks for fixing those links!

Thanks for fixing those links!

...and also for the new sample templates! Those work great.

I am determined to get my template content though, so I will try to call ULead/Corel. May be a fools errand but will try to do so.

My purchase link was from corel.com, so they must have stopped using Element5

I guess I could spend more money and buy PhotoImpact, and then create my own. Not sure I ready to graduate to that yet.

Well now this is resolved for me. Besides receiving great help from the members of this forum (thanks!), I was able to get through to Corel customer service (just 10 minutes on hold - not too bad).

Tech support was non-responsive, but the CS rep was great. He had to look into the issue a bit, but then acknowledged that when ULead online purchasing went from Element5 to Corel, there had been a problem with the email of links.

He confirmed that it was now fixed by sending me a new order

I have my content

Thanks Again

d.angelico: I too am glad things worked out.

Just for the sake of future responses to people who now place their orders through the Corel billing system, though, could you please confirm that you received three links for the following files:
UVS11+
uvs11_plus_(e).exe
uvs11_plus_contentpack_(e).exe
uvs11_bonuscd_(e).exe

If not, could you let us know how many links you did receive, and what was their approximate size.
