Cool 3d advice needed when using with VS10+

Post by tommytucker »

:( When I create a neat sequence with Cool 3.5 D I have an option of outputting in different formats. I have noticed that if you save it as a video file, you can adjust length somewhat when you insert it into an overlay or video. What is a recommended best practice for creating and using these Cool animations?

I always output them as an .avi. However, I usually know in advance exactly how long I want it to be, so have not experimented with cutting it once it is inserted in my project.

I noticed that one can stretch an AVI Cool 3D although it will slow it down. You can't do that if you output as a Cool file. I try to plan on duration while creating it, but not always on the money.

I always over-estimate the time for a title. That way, it is easier to shorten it by such means as adjusting fade in or fade out times...
