I have Workshop 2 and can't get the subtitles to stay on in the preview window.
I turn on the subtitles in the edit window, then go to preview to make sure all the buttons work properly (including subtitle) only to find out subtitle has been turned off. I go back to the edit window and yes subtitle is turned off. What the @#$%&!
I downloaded some patches that were suppose to take care of this (dws2patch4_e.exe and dws2patc5_e.exe) but it still won't work.
Subtitle Issue

Did you install any other Ulead software after installing the DVD Workshop 2 patches?

Steve,
It's nice that you believe you have come up with a fix -- and perhaps it really is a fix -- but the individual who posted to this thread hasn't responded with enough information for us to know if this is the issue.
Moreover, your fix -- while interesting -- isn't an official Corel fix and you might consider posting an advisory that those who apply this technique do so at their own risk.

Ok.
Then is it possible you failed to install the patches in the correct order?
I've tested them on my computers here and they work as long as you don't install any newer Ulead programs with DVD authoring capability.
Installing the newer programs will overwrite the patch files.
Other than that, I can't think of what might be causing the problem you describe.
