capturing Powerpoint?

Will VideoStudio capture a Powerpoint presentation so it could be played via DVD?

I don't think so. At work, we use Camtasia Studio (http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp) to capture PPT presentations. You could then use VideoStudio to edit the capture and write to DVD. It seems hard to capture the screen at a decent quality though!

Another possible alternative is to export each Powerpoint slide as a jpeg image and put them in the timeline of UVS - you will have to do the audio again though within UVS

Hmmm.... ok.

I guess my point would be to capture the animations of flying text, etc. from powerpoint

Keep in mind, I've not yet even tried the demo version of VideoStudio. I'm still in a thinking about it mode.

Hi,

There are few ways to do this. As one poster mentioned, the slide export to bitmap is excellent.

I would do that and use the original movie(s) as Picture in Picture.
