How do i add a video to an image without the preview???

Post by torana_79 »

Hello Guys,

I have image and a frame (the square brackets) around a box (the 0) below.

[0] image

When you hover over the image, the frame lights up fine.

The problem is when i try to attach a video file or menu by dragging a dropping into the playlist menu, the image is converted to a preview of the video or menu.

If i try and undo, the preview disapears by the image does not re-appear again, meaning i have to re-add the menu again.

I need to somehow add the video file without removing the image origionally show...

I am really stuck here and hoping i can find a work around for this without having to redo alot of work.

Thanks
Dan

Do you mean the Button's Playlist, or are you calling the menu a "Playlist Menu"?

Click on the menu button, go to its PLAYLIST, and drag your asset into the playlist for that button.

I'm away from my editing machine, so just going from memory here (not sure if I totally understand your question).

Sorry, to clarify i am trying to add a video or menu item to the Button's Playlist. When i drag either into the button playlist, the image of the button disapears and is replaced with a preview of the video or menu i haver just added. I cannot work out how to restore the button image while still having a video or menu item in the playlist?

Thanks

Hi Dan,

I could not re-create that issue, but I am probably using different steps than you. Can you go step-by-step how you setup your menu/buttons/playlist?

As an aside, after adding your video to the button playlist, can you just drag a picture to the menu button?

Hello George,

Thanks for you help, i have created a duplicate of the button with no play list and layed it over the existing button... not the cleanest fix but looks and works a treat.

Thanks

When I was doing this (5 buttons total, but wanting 4 still and one animated), after adding the Titles to the PlayList (drag & drop into the PlayList window on the left), I then did a drag & drop of the image file (after I imported it into the "Image - General" section) on top of the preview button. The image file overwrote the preview file, and no issues.
