error in 11+

When I was installing the trial version of video studios 11 plus, after it was installing AVControlSDK, an error came up saying "a fatal error has occurred while installing"

Hi,

How about trying this:

1)removed the VS 11 folder that was created in the first install attempt
2)edit info.ini and change AVControlSDK=1 to 0
3)run setup
4)run utilities\AVControlSDK\AVControl.exe

A little trick I use when installing Ulead Software is to extract the
downloaded 'exe' file with winzip. This then creates a folder with all of the files plus one named setup.exe which I then run.

I had the same problem when installing the ESD version of VS11+.
I tried Steve's trick but still got the Fatal Error message.
Tried FRances fix:

1)removed the VS 11 folder that was created in the first install attempt
2)edit info.ini and change AVControlSDK=1 to 0
3)run setup
4)run utilities\AVControlSDK\AVControl.exe

The install worked OK except that during the running of AVControl.exe I received a message that DispSvr.dll and IVIVIDEO.ax were missing but when I checked, both files were in their correct folder.
VS11+ seems to work OK so I'm happy.
