Analog to Digital - Blue Screen Memory Dump

Post by kailuakid »

I just bought from CompUSA an Analog Converter device that plugs into your USB port and into your Microphone socket of your sound card. The other end connects to the Video and Sound output of my VCR. The device came with no manuals and just a CD of Video Studio 7 Basic and the device's Driver. After downloading the driver and hooking everything up I open my Video Studio 9 Plus and try to capture the Video. When I click on the Capture Video selection arrow it shows the device but when I click on it it show me a window and says processing and then goes to the Blue screen and starts dumping memory to disc. I have Windows XP and a P4 1.2 Ghz processor with 1 Gig of Memory and a 60 Gig hard drive. What's happening ?
