Split & Edit Type 1 Sound?

Post by Ray Musicbear »

I have captured some video clips using the AVI (DV) Type 1

Is it possible to split the audio from my AVI video file, and convert the split audio file into a .wav file so that I might edit it in my sound editing program?

I have split the sound file from the video file, but it splits the audio into another .avi file in the audio track...

I need a sound file I can edit...

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

After you split what you want to edit, drag it in the Audio folder, then export via *Share* -> Create Audio File.

Or after splitting the audio on the time line (marking preview with F3 for In/F4 for out) use *Share* -> Create Audio File.

Either method gets you the same file.

You do not need to split the audio from the image in the timeline before going to "Share >> Create Audio File" (does that even work ??) - just put your complete video in the timeline and go "Share >> Create Audio File" and you will get the .wav file you require.

Thanks Mike & Brian!

So easy...

I always seem to make my actions in UVS harder than they should be!

Thanks again!

Hi Brian,

The "Or" in the paragraph should have been more pronounced. :)

Best.
