Creating Lomo/Fisheye effect on pictures? (PhotoImpact 11)
I was wondering how to create the roundness around a picture. I tried going to "Photo Effects" and scrolling down to "Lens Distortion 6" but it's like a crooked oblong shape. I tried making the shape more rounder and even on every side but it doesn't work. Is there a way to do it with that specific editing effect or is there another effect that will work and be more like a fisheye photo? I hope this makes sense! Thanks.

Thank you! I'm wondering how to fix it to where the main image in the middle does not appear wide or fat, but around it is round. What is the Power slider? Is it the list of options you see when you right click the effect?vidoman wrote:Welcome to the forums,
Try using the Punch effect. It's located under the Effect>Distort menu. Once open hit the Option button. Then you can adjust it using the Power slider.
Absent of using a plug-in I think that's the closest you may get to a fisheye effect.

That is a picture of my PhotoImpact, I put a red bar around "Punch" that I right clicked to try and find Power. Maybe my PI 11 is missing some components, does it seem so? I apologize for extending the first question! I had to restart my computer system recently and luckily I got PI back, but I don't know what didn't come back, could be the Power option.

It should still be there...
Using your method, through the EasyPalette, select Modify Properties and Apply option. Then you will see the Power attributes/slider.
You can also get there by going to the Effects Menu, choosing Distort, the hitting then Options button.
