How to produce the DVD wide screen using Ulead VS 11 plus? I wish to see the picture in wide screen format( full screen in TV) after the DV to DVD conversion.

Did you choose the 16:9 option on the first splash screen?

Hi Mallik

Please view the guide from the link below.
Shows what 16:9 Widescreen should look like using Video Studio.

Thanks to Ken and Trevor for your responses.

After going through the Trevor's note, I understood the difference between 4.3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. Before going through my question..., please refer to Trevor's write up on "Working with widescreen using Video Studio" and have a look of the picture numbers 6 & 10 .

What I wish to acheive is... full screen, not wide screen i.e. picture number 6. I have selected the aspect ratio as 4:3. But the output is coming like picture number 10. How to achieve the pciture number 6 i.e. full screen picture? Please help me out. I want to use DV-to-DVD wizard. If possible, please test this option and let me know.

Note: Selcted the aspect ration as 4:3 in DV-to-DVD Wizard in advanced options. I found DV-to-DVD wizard is a nice utlity for the beginners who wants to convert the Tape to DVD as it is... But I am stuck with full screen options...

I have managed to acheive the full screen option using sony vegas Movie stuidio platform 7.0. This shows that, nothing wrong with my input media.

Don't want to steal the thread but...
Trevor is that the Grand Canyon? Looks very similar to when I went there a couple of years ago.

Hi Mallik

It appears as though you have a frame size/type problem.

First we need to know a little about the video you are using.

Open Video Studio in the ¡¥Editor¡¦
Go to Preferences-Tick- Show Messages when inserting first video into¡K¡K¡K

Start a NEW project ( File new project)
Please capture a short video (one minute will do)
Please select DV Format.
When you stop capture.

You should see an info window prompting you to change the project settings
Press Details, Using your mouse, highlight the text in the right hand panel, (Video Properties) copy and paste to the forum.
Select OK.

Does the video look ok in the preview window???????????????
