MF 6 plus - crash on DVDMF.exe - uvHTMPEG2.dll

Hi Henry, thanks for the input and you're absolutely right, it is definitely a DVDMF.exe error (funny tho that it appears from the launcher regardless of whether or not anything is clicked). I'll get right onto the apps you name and also check if divX is not uninstalling properly. Just for clarities sake, you ARE also using 6.0? Cheers, Rick

This one worked! I used the troubleshooter page

Well, it doesn't matter anymore because the same problem would affect other versions.

But just for clarities sake:
No. I have MF5+ which I purchased at the end of 2006. I do not buy new versions all the time just because someone releases yet another update.

You never know, maybe I got another star in my Ulead report card after helping you on this issue, and will now receive MF6 as a gift.

I had a similar crash. However, the softelling filter did NOT work for me. In fact sofella software seems dated (made in 2005 I believe) and without proper updates or support.

I was tying to create menu for a xvid (similar to divx) file in MF 6.0 and it would crash after I push the burn button. It was a codec issue. What did work for me was using the Codec Tweak Tool which is part of the K-Lite Codec Pack. They are all FREE, highly supported and with good forums located at Codec Guidehere.

The moderation may want to add this tool to the free software list. Assuming there is one. Note: I personally use the full version of the K-Lite Codec Pack.[/url]

Find DVIX_UL.DLL in MF folder and change its name.
Thank you,

Thanks, a good tip (for experienced computer users) but usually these add on codec packs cause and create more problems by installing them.
