Post by Marilyn Byerly »

Hi, I just TRIED to upgrade to video studio 11. I have re-installed 3 times now, trying different things, ie., updating dv9. Will not open, missing mpgaout.dll and mpgvout.dll. Can you help?

Can you tell us in detail how you tried to upgrade, exactly which version (was it just the normal download upgrade version or a Try Before Your Buy version), and what you did on your computer...

I downloaded vs 11 plus upgrade from 10. I am in process of loading it for 4th time, as I write this! I have taken several suggestions, ie. deleting vio files, downloading dlls, but each time I download a dll, it asks for another one! I have upgraded ms update, dv, I think that is about it

This fourth install is almost finished, 82%

I also uninstalled VS 8 and 9, kept 10, that was my latest idea

I have spent way too much time on this issue, time to try different program and get a refund. Their support does not even answer in a timely manner. Have been complaining to them for 2 days, no reply. too bad

VS 10 still opens fine

Post by Marilyn Byerly »

Hi again, Vs 10 has been working just fine with VS 8 and 9 still on my computer. Should I delete VS 10? Could that be why 11 will not open?

It's not the reason. I have VS 7, 8, 9, 10 and now 11+ on the same computer and all seem to co-exist just fine together.

I had the same issue in Vista

The path C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\MPEG was listed as an path in the environment variables - so that wasnt this issue

To resolve I copied all files in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\MPEG to the main directory of Ulead (wherever you installed it to) and that seemed to fix it
