Removing applied filters

Post by Ken Berry »

I just got this private email from a new user:
How do I remove video filters from avi's without cutting out the video from timeline and reinserting it. NO doubt I'm missing something simple
I had to reply that I simply did not know the answer. I don't use filters very much, and when I do and don't like an effect, I just press the Undo button to get rid of it. But that doesn't do much good if you have saved your project and exited VS, and then come back to it later to do some more editing and want to remove a filter applied in the last session.

Of course, the Manual is silent on the question so the OP and I are rather hoping someone else will have an answer.

In the EDIT step, about midway down on right (regular layout), there are two tabs -- VIDEO and ATTRIBUTE. Click the ATTRIBUTE tab, and highlight the Filter in the filter list, and hit the X next to the filter list window.
