Ulead Media Studio Professional Vers 2.5 ANY GOOD???

Post by screwball2 »

Last night, I purchased Ulead Media Studio Professional V.2.5. from eBay. I currently use UVS 9 and am looking seriously now at 11. Can any of you expert mediators (or others) advise as to the benefits (or otherwise) of using the UMS 2.5 against V 11? Am I going backwards or forwards? I am aware that Version 2.5 is way, way out of date, but are there advantages over the latest UVS home edition due to the fact it was/is a Pro edition (and very expensive)? Could the fact that a somewhat outdated 'Pro' edition, could still be a better bet than UVS 11?

Since we are currently at MSP 8, do we still need to answer your question? MSP and VS are two different beasts. MSP is aimed at a different group of users, serious amateurs/semi pro's. I personally had never heard of a version 2.5 before and cannot judge how useful it could be.

Why not download the 30 day free trial of MSP8 and see for yourself.

On the face of it, I suppose my post would appear a silly question. But I only paid a fraction of it's original value, so, wondered if it had any benefits to warrant its inclusion in my system. I have not taken delivery yet, so have not been able to suck-it-an-see. I wondered if anyone had used it and how it compares to VS9. I am certainly not in the market at the moment for a recent Professional programme. The analogy I would make is that although a ten year old Formula one car is way outclassed by current models, it would certainly be faster than a new private road car - if you get my drift.

Well, you've posted the question to users of VS, although some users of MSP do check in from time to time. You might have a better chance of getting a useful answer by posting your question in the MSP forum.
