Hi Neil

Excellent, glad you got it working, and thanks for the information.

I have managed to simulate your problem by setting the file as ¡¥Read Only¡¦

Such a simple solution.

I believe the file in C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 11\Ulead.dat to be the default file, this is copied to Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0 when you run a repair or delete MovieTem.dat.

Ensure the file in C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 11\Ulead.dat is not set as ¡¥Read Only¡¦

Thanks again

Thanks all.

I checked the MovieTem in the Program file area -- it is not read protected.

I checked the MovieTem in the Documents file area -- it is read protected. I turned off the Read protection on this file and SUCCESS.

Thanks!

P.S. I wonder why I haven't yet heard from Ulead Tech support on this issue? Oh well . . .

Glad you got it working..:)

Curious though, did you unpack the install file, and just copy this one to your system? The installer should have removed the Read Only attribute. However doing a copy/paste from a CD/DVD, the attribute may not have been changed by the OS.

I did not do anything different during install.

I did previously uninstall, and over the weekend, reinstall.

As stated I checked the file in the two areas and unchecked Read Only on the one in my Documents folder.

Best to you, Phil

I went through these steps and couldn't find the
MovieTem file through my windows search (except in the program files folder). Anyway... I found it located here
C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSER\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0\

I set removed the read only attribute and it worked. Nice!
