I just tested this with VS11+ on my XP Pro computer. VS11+ has only been installed once to date. I went to Make Movie Manager, and set up a template for both the AVI option and the MPEG option, calling them Test01 and Test02. I saved each and pressed the Close button. Then I dragged a video clip into the timeline, and selected Share > Create Video File. Test 01 and Test02 appear at the bottom of the list, just above the final category 'Custom'.
So I am unable to replicate your problem.
Incidentally, I only had one template when I first opened Make Movie Manager.

Ken, thanks for your help. When you say 'saved each' is there a specific action to save before closing? I get the options of New, Edit, Delete, Close and Add when i have set up a template. I presumed close saved the template accordingly?Ken Berry wrote:I just tested this with VS11+ on my XP Pro computer. VS11+ has only been installed once to date. Hi
From Make Movie Manager:- I see two original templates one for Pal dvd16:9 and one for Pal dvd 4:3.
Once you have created the new template you click OK, it is then listed in the ¡¥Available movie Template¡¦ window.
You can select each template in turn to view the Properties in the lower window.
Select the ¡¥Close¡¦ option.
From Share-Create Video File, all templates are listed immediately above the ¡¥Custom¡¦ option.
I use the Make Movie Manager most of the time. I have not experienced any problems. My templates are always available.

iceritchie -- I select Make Movie Manager, and a dialogue box appears. I select New on it and a further smaller box appears allowing me to choose the format for the template. Below that is an empty line for the name you want to assign it. So give it a name, then click OK.
This takes you to a third box with 3 tabs on it. On the first tab (labelled Ulead Video Studio), all there is is a window with the Template Name you have just assigned (plus a specific size option below that is greyed out by default). You set the properties for the template in the other two tabs, starting with the third (AVI or 'Compression' if its to be an mpeg template) first, and then moving to the central one (General). Then you click OK again.
And this takes you back to the first dialogue box, but your new template name should now appear there. Click 'Close' to ... er ... close it. But next time you go to Share > Create Video File, your new template should be there at the bottom, just above Custom.

It appears to me that the file holding the new template is not being saved. It appears in the setting up windows during the initial creation, but doesnt appear in when selecting create video file. It also doesnt appear when going back into the manager tool. Does anyone know where these templates are saed and under what name?
