How do I do this?

I want my video to start with an introductory title. Then I want to insert a transition and fade into my first video clip. I'm using Ulead Video Studio 10. Anyone know how to do this?

Insert a black (or other) colour matte in the main video track of the timeline, set to last for however long your want the title. Then make your title in the title track. Insert your transition between the black matte and the opening video clip.

The colour mattes can be found in the same drop down menu where you choose Transitions, Filters etc... (Up in the top of the screen, just below the Capture, Edit etc tabs, and about in the middle, there is a small window which normally has 'Video' in it be default. Hit the arrow beside it, and in the drop down menu, you will see 'Colour'.)

To change the duration of the colour matte, the simplest way is to highlight it in the timeline, and then pull the yellow bar at the right hand end along till it reaches the duration you want. Or you can highlight it and adjust the little digital clock face on the Edit screen to the desired duration.
