Copying a selection from the storyboard

Post by DylanL »

Hi,

Coming from Pinnacle, i always used to take clips from the holiday movie that i created. For instance i would take the nicest parts from my movie and put them on youtube. This was simply a matter of cut and paste.

I cant find anyway to take out a selection other then individualy removing every single clip before and after the part that i want. Does anyone know a solution?

One way would be to make the cuts in the original, then highlight the clip you want between the cuts. The go to Clip > Save Trimmed Video. This creates a separate file of the edited clip you want, and it will appear as an icon on the Library pane. Note is Ulead title. Go to the Working Folder (File > Preferences), rename it if you want, and post it...

This only seems to work for a single video, but not for multiple scenes. And thats my problem; i would like to copy a selection of multiple scenes, including its transitions and music.

change to 'Timeline' mode - - (how on earth do you use 'Storyboard for sensible editing)

move the cursor to the beginning of the bit you want to save - hit F3 - red line appears above time line - move the cursor to the end of the bit you want to save - hit F4 - red line cuts off at that point - go to "Share >> Create Video File " Which can be in any format suitable for youtube - BUT remember in the create video file function to specify that the video file is from the selected portion only and not from the whole project.

This will render a file made from the selected portion including all transitions/ titles/music etc.
