Hi,
This forum has given me a lot of information but I've finally come across a problem I am unable to solve. I am trying to create PAL DVD disc without a menu and I have been unable to prevent the DVD from repeating.
Using VideoStudio 11+ I created a MPEG2 file from my SONY HC40E camera:
File format: PAL DVD
File size: 4,608KB (using a 7 second clip as a test)
File attributes: 24 bit, 720 x 576, 16:9, lower field first
I opened a new project to create a DVD disc. I copied the MPEG clip into the timeline to ensure the project settings were the same as the clip and then deleted the clip from the timeline (I'm sure I read about this technique on the forum somewhere).
Using Share >> Create disc, I added the movie clip and unticked create menu. I accessed the project settings by clicking on the cog wheel and unticked "Auto repeat when disc playback ends". I have tried both options for the clip playback option, Back to menu and Continue to play the next clip. In both cases the DVD replays after playback ends.
I created another DVD using a menu and I can prevent the movie repeating, but when removing the menu the DVD repeats again.
I read a post in this forum that indicates VideoStudio 10 could not repeat a movie when creating a DVD without a menu and that this was fixed for VideoStudio 11.

Has this VideoStudio 10 fix reversed the problem in VideoStudio 11? Am I unable to create a movie on a DVD without a menu that does not repeat, or have I missed a setting somewhere?
I'd appreciate some tips if anyone has been able to solve this.
Thanks,
Darryl

Just in case anyone is trying to do the same thing, I have found a work-around that gives me a satisfactory result.
I don't claim to be a movie editing guru so there are probably a number of ways that my method can be improved. However, as an average home-user that doesn't want to purchase DVD authoring software as well as editing software the solution above will do just fine for me.
- Select Share >> Create Disc
Add any movie clips you wish as normal
Make sure the Create Menu check box is ticked and click next
Create a title menu that consists of a simple black screen.- Select a text menu template from the gallery and insert a plain black picture as the background image (Under the edit tab there is an option to select a background image). To create a plain black picture I used Microsoft paint, filled the screen with the black colour, and saved it as a jpg file. I guess there are probably many ways to do this though.
Access the Project Settings by clicking on the cog wheel at the bottom left of the screen.
Select the "Play all clips first before menu" check box
Deselect the "Auto repeat when disc playback ends" check box
Under "Clip Playback" use the drop-down box to select "Back to Menu"
Click OK
