Hi Folks,
I'm a real novice so please bear with me! I have a video that I am editing from a TV show that my wife was on. (Yes, we have written copywrite permission!) Once I edited the clip, it is saved in a .VSP format. How can I change this to a MPEG or other file format that Windows Encoder 9 will work with? We want to post the clip to her web site. Help! And thanks in advance!

It is actually most likely in .avi format. The .vsp file is a project compiler with pointers to clips etc. You need to render your project at which time you will choose what format to output. Read the first post on this board, it is a very good tutorial that will answer just about every question you have for a least the first few projects you will use VS for.

Frank - just open your project (.vsp) file in UVS so that it is in the timeline - then go to "Share" and choose "Create Video File" - choose the format you require - then in the new dialogue box give it a name and choose where you want to save it - when you click 'save' your project will be rendered to a single file - may take a while so be patient.
