Ok I burned the DVD and it turned out pretty well! The only thing was the quality was not great, not as good as when I viewed it from the folders. There was also a little jolting around if you know what I mean like it skips seconds, between the end of the third episode and the beginning of the fourth. Depending on what program I view it with the extremity differes but I am wondering what this is. It did not show when I viewed the folders so it must of occured in burning. thank you for all the help and I was just wondering if there were answers to these last little questions.

What speed did you burn at? It is recommended to burn at a slower speed, like 4x. You'll get a deeper burn at a slower speed, thus making the disk more reliable.
When you burn your disc did you have any background apps running that could steal resources? Try disabling them while burning.

Assuming you're using a dual-layer disk, that sounds like a "layer-break" problem to me. At some point when playing dual-layer disks the player switches from one layer to the other. This happens with both store-bought movie DVD pressings and writable DL DVDs. Depending on how good the player is, you'll often see a glitch in the playback when the change occurs. The effect may range from a barely perceptible "blip" to a pause of a few seconds. High quality players contain a data buffer that conceals the effect but lesser machines may pause visibly while the layer change is carried out.dvdeditor747 wrote:it skips seconds, between the end of the third episode and the beginning of the fourth.
The good news is that the burn software has placed the break sensibly ¡X between episodes ¡X rather than in the middle of an episode which would be more disturbing. The bad news is that the effect may be unavoidable because it's a product of DL technology plus the quality of the player used.
I have to say that I've little actual experience of using DL writable disks ¡X I only used a few when I got my first DL-capable burner. For me, the benefits of DL don't justify the cost, burn problems and difficulty in finding quality media.
But maybe someone with more experience in using DL media with Ulead applications can comment.
The "background apps" referred to by vidoman are things like virus checkers and system utilities that run in the backgound while you're opening, using and closing your main programs. The principal ones are accessible via the icons in your "System Tray" (the block of icons at the bottom right of your PC screen). If your PC is not very powerful it's desirable to shut these down while executing a burn ¡X ususally you do that by clicking on them and selecting "Exit". If you do this, though, you should do a Restart after your burn so that your virus checker is working if you then do some surfing.

ok I understand the apps. The thing you describe sounds correct exept it is not a littleblip and does not occur during the middle of episodes. I just burned another one and it did the little pausing thing for like 15 minutes. When I play it on Media Center it is a little better but I don't know what to do. I want to use DL because otherwise I can only fit like two episodes per DVD. Can the background apps of caused this or what is going on??
