Blue Screen Help!

Post by manwicker »

Hi
I'm using trial version. Might buy if I can get blue screen to work. No errors. I'm only using a dark blue bedsheet nailed to the wall. It's a five minute piece of me addressing camera. When I overlay using Blue Screen, it begins satisfactorily, great in fact, with the background video running nicely and me in the scene. But as the video goes on it slowly degrades with the Blue coming in until by about three minutes or so in it's just me in front of me blue sheet and the background vid gone. I can alter this with the similiarity settings etc, but then the results are not as good as the beginning minute or so of the vid? I think I must be missing something. Pleas tell me if I am? The background vid is during daylight and static and again only last five mins.

I am using Win XP. My camera is a Sony DVD 205E (quite old but perfectly good for what I want), I've tried doing this in StudioPro as both NSTC and PAL - same results for either - I have 1gig Memory, pentium 4 equvilant processor, 256mb graphics card.

I'm sure the program is fine, but I can't find what i'm doing wrong.

Cheers

I assume you are using MSP8 (why not tell us, see the Read Before Posting thread?????)

I suggest you have made the adjustments only to the first keyframe. Go into Effects manager and highlight the first keyframe, right-click and the copy to all keyframes.

Thanks, Devil

I did read it, honest, and printed it up. I missed that bit, am at work and flying about. Really sorry. Yes it is 8 im using. And thanks. I'll check it out. I'm a beginner to these kinds of effects - not really sure how keyframes work (limited manual for trial version). does it automatically set keyframes on a project? I thought that you set those yourself. I am dumb in this, but learning loads and fast.

Thanks loads again.
