MF4SE user manual?

Post by wguru »

The guide I have is pdf titled as "Ulead DVD MovieFactory User Guide"
and the author is Michael Pagaduan and David Chen (Jan 31, 2005).

That MF4 guide doesn't reflect the same views of pages I'm seeing in my version of MF4.

Example, launcher window is entirely different than my MF4SE version.

If there's a user guide that displays my version's launcher window?

Hopefully there's ULead manual that'll be easier/correct to use, but where's one found for MF4SE (the one that came on the CD-ROM is pretty much some sort of generic guide).

SE versions are usually bundled with some hardware you buy. They often are modified in different ways to function with the different device they are supplied with. You should have received a user guide with the hardware you bought or approach the supplier of this hardware device for a manual.

I think it would be better and easier to upgrade to a full version which will be like described in the official user manual.

The letters SE signify "Simple Edition" and lots of things have been taken out when compared to the Full version.

Think of a SE version is a never ending 'Free trial.'
If you download one of the 30 day Free trials from the Ulead website then you will get a better idea of the full version. Even then you do not get as many templates as you would when you purchase a copy.

User guide for MF4SE

Post by wguru »

Heinz-Oz, Thanks for the reply. I did somewhat blurrily mention that my guide came with the CD-ROM which I should have mentioned the CD-ROM was packaged w/my KWorld PVR software.

sjj1805, Thanks too. I might have considered upgrading, but I hear MF4 (maybe not just the MF4SE version) has a bit more usefulness in some aspects. Plus, I read that upgrading MF is not simple and if I'm not wrong, upgrading incorrectly can result in some very undesireable ramifications to one's OS and/or one's onboard burner.

As such, it looks like I'm best off continuing to use SE and muddling through the generic guide.

But thanks anyway, much appreciate the effort of replying. Many out here, value your contributions more than you might expect.
