VideoStudio 11 Program Startup
I have downloaded the trial version of VideoStudio 11 and it does all its bells and whistles to install. Looks good until I try to run one of the main programs from the first menu. It tries to load the screen for editing etc but then report s an error to microsoft and closes. Tried unistall and reinstall to no avail. Anybody else had this problem? In the error report contents it reports Module 1 vstudio.dat as the file it stopped on along with some other error numbers. Thank you

possibly this may be a Windows XP Security setting preventing you from accessing one of the files required to run the program.
Did you log onto XP with an administrator account when you installed the program. Are you now using that account to run the program?
I would also advise you to check your hard drive for errors by selecting
START | Run | chkdsk c: /f
It will tell you it cannot lock the drive and asks if you want to schedule a check at the next reboot. Say Yes.
You will have to shut down and restart your computer for the drive check to take place but it shouldn't take long to complete.
