sound problem with mpeg.

Hello. I've made a movie in the format of mpeg and sound rate 320kbps in my computer it works perfectly but when I burn it and play it on another one it's like on mute.

what's the problem? codecs?

Could be, but since you don't even tell us what audio format you used, nor anything else except that it is used with an mpeg, it is difficult to say for sure. With that sort of bitrate, though, I assume it is Dolby AC-3 audio, though you might want to confirm that for us. But if so, and if the other computer you played it on does not have a program which contains the Dolby codec(s) (and they require a licensing fee, so not all programs do), then that is why it does not play the sound on the other computer.

Have you tried it in a stand-alone DVD player?

Well, from that rather ... er ... breathtaking comment, I assume you just used defaults... You can right-click on any of the mpeg video you used in the DVD. Right click on it within Video Studio and copy down its properties here. That will at least give use something more to go on. :lol:

Well let's start over the begining: what sound format should i use in order that in any DVD device(stand alone if you call it that way) The sound will work always. ty.

I think that my options are: Dolby sound digital \ mpeg audio \ LPCM audio
