Hi all, I'm a new user of Movie Factory 5 (german version, came w/ video grabber) and - it didn't work. I was editing, cutting and montaging several movies filmed w/ my Videocam and I got the error code "533:-2147216477:0" w/ added info of something like "number of pictures in some chapters exceeds total number of pictures" (free translation). The editing went fine and rendering also worked, but it didn't even start to burn. I'm using the latest patches. I know this question has been asked before, but I didn't find an answer in the forum...
Any help appreciated!
The reason why these errors show is because the MPG created using software has some problems which MovieFactory can?t read properly. This kind of error usually appears when you are using an MPEG/MPEG2 created from another editing/rendering software or DVD recording device.
For example, if you use NTSC for your DVD project, MovieFactory usually reads your video clip to have 29.97 frames. Hence, if it actually has less frames (may be due to frame skips or an actual recording at lower frame rates like 23 fps), you might have put chapter points to a non existent frame.
If the software you are using to capture videos has the option to include the I, B, or P frames, please do so. Also select the option to close the GOP (group of pictures) if there is an available option. Usually these settings are located in the advance options/settings of the program.
