Audio broken up
When I play my video in camcorder the audio is OK. When I send my video to TV via VCR the audio is fine. But when I send same video via firewire to Video Studio/capture on my computer the audio keeps breaking up. Same after capture. Any idea whats causing this??? Thanks! Mike

If you are capturing it in DV format via Firewire, then check in the Options cogwheel icon on the Capture page. I think it is set by default to capture using the DV Type 2 encoder. I don't know why this is the case, but Type 2 causes a lot of people trouble. Change it to Type 1 and try again.
You also don't say anything about your operating system or computer specifications. But it is normally a good idea to turn off all background operations that you can, and keep your hard disks regularly defragmented.

Audio breaking up
Thanks Ken. I forgot to mention that in the past I've had no problem with audio breaking up when capturing via firewire. I've done serveral films this way with no problems and had made no changes in settings since. However, the audio began breaking up about the same time I had installed another sound card, and had Windows XP and Windows Media Player updated through Internet. Since then, the only other thing not functioning properly on my computer is the audio sound level when I use the microphone for narration, whether in Studio 10 or in another software. The volume is now very low... though the audio volume on computer is set high. Memory is 1000 RAM on 2.4 Pentium.
