You haven't provided much information we can work on. For instance, can we assume you were trying to capture using a firewire connection? Does VS11 "see" your camera?
What is your operating system? If it is XP, be aware that there is an update patch to DirectX 9.0c available on the Microsoft site. It was released a couple of weeks ago, and is labelled (I think) something like DirectX June 2007 runtime version update patch. That seems to fix a variety of problems with VS11.

Thanks Ken for swift reply, I have downloaded patch and unfortunately this hasn't resolved the problem
My operating system is XP and i am using a firewire connection, vs11 is recognising the camera

Capture Graph Won't Start
I'm having the same problem.... I have VS11, XP with all updates with 4GB of memory, 220+GB of free hard drive space, the updated directx, and a panasonic PV-GS250, pulling in through firewire.
To be honest, I've about given up with capture on this camera--it's not worked since I bought the camera, on any version of VS, with any set of drivers for the camera I can find anywhere. While I would like to solve this, I generally just eat the video quality, and plug the camera into my DVR, play the video onto a DVD-R, then pull it off that into VS. IMHO, camera support is one of the stinkiest areas of VS.

As I said in first posting, no problems for me @vs10, gotta be a vs11 bug?
BTW I have at least got a workaround by using NERO

What is the work-around? I was not aware that Nero would capture in DV format...
Russ: I understand your frustration, but in my many years on this Board, camera support has definitely not been a problem. In the early days, there were some cameras which did not work correctly, but in more recent years, if it were a mini DV camera, then I am not aware of one which did not work with VS (yours excepted, of course!
) In fact, I am pretty sure at least one or two of our senior members have the same, or very similar camera, and use it quite successfully with successive versions of VS. But I had better leave it to them to comment. I tend to be more of a Canon man, though I also use a Sony Digital 8.

Workaround - Nero Vision 4.9.5.7 has a dv template, unfortunately it ony generates one avi, not split by scene!
ULEAD answer, I have logged as a bug
Due to the new plug-in the current version is using there few incompatibility issues regarding certain capture devices. I have escalated this issue to my superior to take care of this issue as soon as possible.
For now, I suggest that you use VideoStudio 10 to capture the footage, export it to a video file and import it using VideoStudio 11.
