I suspect you will find that the trial version uses the standard US keyboard set-up and consequently does not make provision for foreign language keyboards. That being said, I do not know if Ulead has full versions in Italian.
However, I have the full version (English) of VS11, and had no difficulty inserting Western European symbols in titles BUT by using the ANSI system, This uses the numeric keyboard over on the right hand end of your keyboard. So to successfully write 'Antichità' as a title in VS11, for the à you hold down the Alt button and then, on the numeric keyboard, you type 0224. For á it is Alt+0225. And so on.
Do a Google search for 'International ANSI symbols" to get a full list. But check with Ulead directly as to whether they have an Italian version of the full program.
