MovieFactory for Toshiba, patch doesn't recognize version

Just bough Toshiba laptop with Ulead MovieFactory for Toshiba preinstalled. Tried to run Ulead and create slideshow. It doesn't recognize any pictures (jpeg format) on my laptop. I downloaded the patches from Ulead and tried running the patches, but when I try to execute the patch is says 'Setup can find Ulead MovieFactory 5 installed on your system'. I've registered on Ulead for version 5 and it accepted my serial number. The 'about' page for the program calls it DVD MovieFactory for Toshiba version 5.51.

Not sure what to do to use the program. Any help would be appreciated.

Read this thread, the patches do not apply to your Toshiba version.
This person re-installed MF5 for toshiba and the program started working, he had the same problem as you posted.

That was the ticket. It works now and recognizes my pictures. I actually had to run the re-install twice from the Toshiba Recovery disc. One time to uninstall the program and the next time to install.
