What Product to use

Post by sayer »

Can anyone help me please?
I need some advice!

Which are the best, Ulead products to use?
To Edit and Remove many TV Adverts.
Join back Parts of edited Films,
To fix split screens etc.

Also have Tapes to transfer to DVD.
I think I need more than 1 product?

I am running Windows XP Pro with SP2,
WinTV350PVR Capture Card (PAL),
Thanks,
Chris Sayer

DVD MovieFactory fits the bill nicely. If you want to get a bit more fancy with editing add VideoStudio to it and, in order to make fancy menu pages for your videos or prepare still images to be added to a video project, add PhotoImpact to the package.

I agree. Movie Factory is probably the right program for you.

Both Movie Factory and Video Studio can do video editing and make DVDs. I suggest you download the trial versions of Movie Factory and Video Studio and evaluate them yourself.

Video Studio has more editing features (and more features overall). I would recommend Video Studio if you were planning on making "home movies" with your digital camcorder. Video Studio can also convert your movie to formats other than DVD, such as WMV, etc.

Movie Factory has more features for DVD authoring, and it costs less.

For video capture, use the Hauppauge WinTV2000 software that came with your hardware.

And, I thought the Hauppauge hardware usually comes bundled with a limited "SE" version of Movie Factory. :?:

WARNING - Your capture card is MPEG-only. Some of us have had trouble editing MPEGs with Ulead. This doesn't happen to everyone, but it's something to be aware of. Download the trial version, edit the commercials out of a program, re-join the clips with transitions, and make a DVD. If that works... cool! But, if you get "lip-sync" problems, lock-ups or crashing, etc... you may need to get a special-purpose MPEG editor. :(
