VS10 Plus problem with DirectShow when editing clips

I get the error message, "Failed to use DirectShow video engine. CoInitialize has not been called" when I tried to play an edited VSP.

VS10 plays the project only if I exit and reload the program.

I have re-installed my VS10 and installed the latest updates but it has not helped. What could be wrong?

Hi,

I suggest you try download the latest driver for your video card and also please visit microsoft for the most updated version of direct x. (download and install)

Thanks FRance. Tried the updates but problems still exist.

I suspect it is the AVI clips in this video project.

The same actions, i.e. clips delete and move, do not trigger a similar problem with other video projects.
