Help needed with GIF Animator 5

Hi, I'm not sure if I am in the right place, but I need help with Ulead Gif Animator 5. I have been using this program without a hiccup for ages, but suddenly it will not open. It goes through all the processes until it get about 1/3 of the way into Initial Video I/O then crashes, shuts down?? I have removed and reinstalled, but still the same thing happens.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but I am having a hiccup with WMPlayer too... it's there, it's installed, but says Internal Error when I try run it... so I thought maybe they are linked??

Please help if you can.... I am going insane with this.

Read the pinned post at the top of the forum. It would appear you recently installed a codec (or a codec was automatically installed by Media Player) that isn't compatible.

If you can uninstall the codec, that would be the best bet.

Thank you for steering me in the right direction. I really do appreciate your help. I disable vio as you suggested and it works a treat. Thanks again.
