flash files
I cannot open flash animation files in VS10 and the message box says file format mismatch.
I have tried to import them into the library from the sample folder but get the same message.
Thanks

If I recall correctly, the problem arose after the Flash Player plug-in for Windows was upgraded a few months ago. I (and quite a few others) had the same problem and the same error message. If I again recall correctly (and I am not 100% certain of this), I reinstalled Macromedia Flash (the full Pro program), which I think reinstalled the original Flash Player plug-in. But I was lucky to already have that full program. Not sure what other people did.
So I guess it is a little like the QuickTime stuff-up last year, when only QT player plug-ins in the version 6.0 range worked with VS10, and not the new 7.0 series. And like that experience, you have to find an earlier version of the Flash plug-in and reinstall it... If you look in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, you will see that the Flash Player and Plug-in install as separate programs.

I have long ago converted my download links into standard installation files but..... going by VideoStudio 11+ which I believe will be similar.
Users who download VideoStudio 11+ get 3 compressed files
uvs11_plus_(e).exe
uvs11_plus_contentpack_(e).exe
uvs11_bonuscd_(e).exe
I think you will find Flash Player as part of
uvs11_plus_contentpack_(e).exe
look for names similar to those with your version of VideoStudio.

Same problem once, to avoid complete reinstall,
I uninstalled the newer flash player, Nine I believe and then I navigated to the FLASH folder on the VS10+ installation disk. I doubleclicked on the EXE file in that folder and it installed just the Flash file. Now it works, but web pages keep wanting me to upgrade my flashplayer.
