Post by xfulcrumx »

OK I love VS10, Ive had it for 8 or 9 months. For that ammount of time it has been Working awesome and I mean really awesome, some of the work I was doing, people wer saying it looked professional... But ....

As of last night after VS10 crashed 1 time, wich it had never done before.

Ok after it crashed to desktop , I rebooted my computer and opened VS10 and started working on a small vid i wanted to finish up......

I get to the point where I click on Encoder Driver and !!!! what the hell , all my Encoder Drivers are Gone !!!! except 1 . before the crash I had more than 10< prob like 15 or 20 < NOW I have 1 ??. And If thats not bad Enough, I also Lost my Sound compressors<>except for 1 ???.

so I spent all night reinstalling codecs and packs and everything else you can think of and nothing works.

Can someone please help with this prob.

Why not trying the trick done by some users to restore video filters. Look at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=17854 and locate the reply from TDK1044, the fourth from the top. If nothing else works, it is worth trying.

Sorry but that wouldn't work. It is a Windows System Problem somewhere and not the Ulead Program.

alrdy did several times. even reinstalled VS10 like 5 times when restore didnt do anything.

also cleaned registry and got rid of all codecs then reinstalled them.

cleaned all the junk off my hard drive. IM sitting here now trying to figure
this out, been trying since yesterday'ish , Pulled an all nighter and pulled out all my Hair in the process. :D . about to drop dead from being so tired,

But i wont sleep untill I get this figured out.

dont you guys have the same option for encoder drivers? like a list of them? .

still nothing - no neptune drivers, nothing.

took it a step further , I deleted the all the files in the directory
and then ran VS and the only thing that changed was
the encoder driver changed from a Ulead now driver
to a Ulead Vio driver.

No, I don't have any Neptune drivers. The only one available for me is Ulead MPEG.Now Encoder, nothing else. Do you have another editing software on your PC or a capture device ?

Neptune refers to profiles that can be used when creating windows media files. wmv. They are not encoders or drivers themslves, just a set of presets.
To start with I would re-install Windows Media Encoder. Sounds like that got corrupted and so VS may not be presenting you with the Neptune options as it is not detecting the Windows Media Encoder.

I'd thoroughly check your hardware as well. Obviously something burped and it very well could be a hardware issue..
